  • Suspension: since Friday, October 30, 2026.
  • Request to resume: at the opening on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

What the statement says

According to La Vie éco and Boursenews, Managem says that, to date, no significant event likely to affect its share price has occurred or come to its attention. The group considers that its financial position, operating performance, business and outlook remain solid and unchanged from the information already published, notably its results for the first half of 2026.

This is the company’s own assessment. The November 3 date is its request, not a decision by the exchange that we have been able to verify.

Why trading was suspended

The suspension took effect on October 30. L’Economiste, citing a notice from the Casablanca Stock Exchange, says it was requested by the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC), pending the publication of important information. Managem, for its part, says it requested the suspension because unconfirmed information was circulating, and to keep access to information equal for all investors.

The link with the MASI review

According to Le Matin, the annual review dated October 29 cut Managem’s free-float factor from 15% to 10%, and its weight in the MASI from about 10.55% to 6.86%. La Vie éco reports a 10% fall in the share price during this episode.

The exchange then temporarily restored the factors in force before the review. According to Infomédiaire, the Scientific Committee on Indices is due to finalise new management rules within one month.

To understand this better

  • A trading suspension temporarily stops trading in a share: it cannot be bought or sold on the exchange during that time.
  • The free float is the share of a company’s stock that is actually available for trading. The lower it is, the less the company weighs in an index based on free float.
  • Index weight matters because some fund managers adjust their portfolios when it changes. This can trigger buying or selling that has nothing to do with the company’s business.
