A large healthcare listing
Moroccan pharmaceutical group Laprophan received approval from the Moroccan Capital Market Authority on October 28, 2026 to list on the Casablanca Stock Exchange. The shares offered to the public will represent 37.64% of the capital and voting rights, according to Infomédiaire.
The sale covers shares sold by the investment vehicles of Mediterrania Capital Partners. That money goes to the sellers, not to the company. Only the capital increase brings funds to Laprophan.
Funding the purchase of Polymédic’s parent company
According to Boursenews, about 1.26 billion dirhams, or nearly 90% of the capital increase, is meant to buy Corporate Investment Holding, the parent company of the Polymédic laboratory. The contract was signed in October 2026, but the deal still needs approval from the Competition Council.
Healthcare is in the spotlight
Laprophan would join healthcare companies already listed, such as hospital group Akdital and medical equipment specialist Vicenne. Details of the offer and its risk factors are in the prospectus approved by the AMMC.
To understand this better
- A capital increase creates new shares: the money goes to the company.
- A sale of shares covers existing shares: the money goes to the selling shareholders.
- A fixed price is known before subscription, unlike a price range.
